About

The primary purpose of the International PhD Dual-Degree is to establish cooperation between the two Universities that will allow graduate students in the International Plant Cell and Molecular Biology (IPCMB) at USP/ESALQ and graduate students in the Translational Plant Sciences Graduate Program (TPS-GP) at OSU to spend one year or more as graduate students at the other university. The students will help to foster collaborations between the two universities, while gaining scholarly and professional training not normally available at their home institution, in an international setting. In addition to furthering their research objectives, this novel program will allow students to develop overseas contacts in their discipline, and expose them to a distinct culture. Upon completing the program, the students will be awarded a Dual Degree – a PhD from TPS-GP OSU, and a PhD from IPCMB ESALQ/USP.
